Where can I raise a concern?
Choose the office that handles your concern. Keep the treating person’s name, the medicine’s name, relevant messages and the written terms. Seek needed medical care before starting complaint paperwork.
A concern about the person treating you
In the October 3, 2026 Arizona record, the Medical Board handles complaints about medical doctors, called MDs. Doctors with DO after their names have a different licensing board that takes their care complaints.
- For a concern about nursing care, the Nursing Board has a link for sending a complaint online.
- Use the board that matches the treating person’s job title.
- Describe what happened. Attach records that help explain it, rather than assuming the cause.
A concern about the care building or payment
Arizona’s Health Department takes concerns about licensed care facilities: the places where care is provided. The Attorney General accepts complaints about unfair selling or misleading claims.
- A complaint about the place where care is given differs from one about the treating person’s licence.
- Filing with the Attorney General does not mean a refund will follow. That office does not act as your own lawyer.
- Arizona’s Pharmacy Board can investigate possible breaks in pharmacy law. Ask the board how to send your concern.
A concern about a medical product
MedWatch is the Food and Drug Administration’s reporting programme. A patient can report a medical-product problem directly.
- A product report and a complaint about professional care have different purposes.
- A report alone cannot establish the product as the cause of a problem.
- Keep the packaging and product details for the report.
- Get emergency medical help before filling out a product report when symptoms are severe.
