North Phoenix · care questions
Where can I start looking for care?
Begin by naming the health problem you want help for. For a North Phoenix search, compare an office visit with telehealth: care given at a distance, such as by video call.
Starting with an office visit
When comparing clinics, ask who handles the first assessment and how later care works. A nearby location may fit your plans, but check the person who will treat you.
- Ask whether the first visit is an assessment or a treatment package.
- Ask who can answer questions after the visit.
- Ask how any tests, records and follow-up visits are arranged.
Starting with online care
Under Arizona rules recorded October 3, 2026, some people licensed to provide care in another state can register for Arizona telehealth. This registration can let them treat you online while you are in Arizona. It is not a full Arizona licence. Registration requires a licence without restrictions, required insurance and checks on past licensing problems. Arizona care rules still apply.
- Ask the Arizona board to confirm which licence, registration or other permission covers the care offered to you.
- Ask for the treating person’s full name before paying.
- Ask how a needed examination in person would be arranged.
Check the person as well as the office
In the October 3, 2026 Arizona rules, the person’s licence and the care building’s licence are separate checks. Many private offices of licensed health workers need no separate licence for the building. Some services, such as overnight care, can require one. Ask Arizona’s Health Department whether that office and its services need a facility licence. Check the treating person’s licence either way.
- Match the treating person’s name and job title to the right Arizona board.
- Match the pharmacy’s name to the medicine’s paperwork.
- Ask for written prices and cancellation terms before agreeing to a package.
